It is a British victory by a British team regardless of any individual's politics and nationality within the Union and I thoroughly applaud it. I would feel just the same if it had been 3 Englishmen, 3 Welshmen, 3 Northern Irishmen, 3 Scotsmen or any combination thereof. Jolly good show chaps! :D

Probably very true in my case Graeme. On the basis that you got three likes to my none - I suspect the wind is with you on this one.
 
Old timers who have been sports fanatics since childhood in the UK love ticking off another great sporting achievement. So well done to our Davis Cup team! Only a few more things left that I want to witness before I pop off.
I like your thread Fido Indeed, but does it warrant a visit to 10 downing street I personally don't think so.Just my opinion though.
