That'll teach me - Shavecraft Tech bites backs

Emboldened by some discussion on aggressive razors, I took out my Ikon Shavecraft aluminium Tech head and stainless bamboo handle, and stuck a new Derby Premium in it.

Normally, I fight shy of this razor, as it has a tendency to bite me. This morning, I got up a nice, thick Don Marco lather, and away I went. Two passes were just dandy, but then I thought I'd touch up a missed bit. The claret flowed, the air was blue for miles around, and the styptic (an Italian Pratico Stick-highly recommended) came into play.

Out of interest, has anyone who owns this razor managed to use it regularly without some sort of mishap; and, if so, what's the secret?

Sounds like my kind of razor? I like them on the aggressive side.
You'll like this one, then. The 103 mentioned by @stevec is an OC "short comb" version, and the 104 is the CC Tech, which is mine. Connaught have it in stock, and they describe it as "aggressive". It doesn't come with a "Handle with Care" sticker on it, but it should.
Meanwhile, I'll be growing a little tuft of whiskers until my wound heals!
