Strop advice

Would it be suitable to use the reverse side of my hanging strop
for crox powder. It is not smooth like the side used for stropping but
don't want the expense of a second strop?

You could try sanding it but instead I would recommend going to your closest craft or model shop and buying a sheet of balsa wood, I got a piece about 3mm thick and stuck it onto a bit of flat wool I had in the shed. It works great as a crox strop.

I'd go with Jeltz rather than use the reverse. Alternatively you can pick up a leather strop from Leather and Stuff on Ebay starting at £10.

Whatever you use, don't forget to wipe as much off with clean kitchen roll before first use and always wipe your blade afterwards i.e. before using your strop.
