The difference between the Portuguese spoken in Brazil and the spoken in Portugal is not very big.
But the Portuguese usually translate into Portuguese, names, etc. Or use words in portugal to describe something that is described here in a different word.
(Train) Trem PT-BR, Comboio PT.
(Girl) Rapariga PT, Moça PT-BR (Rapariga in PT-BR = Prostitute)
(Monitor) Écran PT, Monitor PT-BR
(PC mouse) Rato PT, Mouse PT-BR
(Elizabeth) Isabel PT, Elizabeth PT-BR
We use some words of foreign origin, like words in German, Italian, English, without translating them.
The Spanish language is little known and taught here.
The greatest influence in terms of language not coming from portugal, in the order would be Italian in the southeast region, German, Pomeranian, Polish and Ukrainian and again Italian in the south.
English has some cultural influence in a few cities, originating from the immigration of American citizens (Confederates) at the end of the civil war in USA.
English citizens did not form communities in the BR.
There is also an indigenous contribution in some words and city names.
And the use of some words of African origin.
As well as a few words of Arabic origin. Usually in relation to food, or personal names.
Within the BR there is a certain linguistic and cultural difference between regions.
I, for example, do not understand certain expressions or words used in the northeast and central region.

I remember going to Scandinavia when I was a teen and being surprised by how well people spoke English and how familiar their accents were; Newcastle, Barnsley and so on.
