Why hello boys (and girls). My first entry for this new week of SOTD's and all the way from Wicstun itself I give you the theme, 'Hairy on a Sunday afternoon'

Sunday knurl - Razorock Hawk V3
Sunday pearl - Feather Professional
Sunday twirl - Wee Whiskey Barrel
Sunday girl - Signature Soaps Wicstun
Sunday whirl - L'Occitane Cade balm
Sunday curl - Terre d'hermes

'Mitchell's 2:12. And remove thy beard was the word'

And by no popular demand whatsoever this shave arrives in karaoke format. Usual rules. If the words don't fit then sing them faster or slower, or if you can't be bothered skip to the Japanese girls waiting at the end.

The missus's taken all my soap
And left me struggling for some foam
Shavin' on a sunday afternoon
And I can't shave my face
She's taken all the soap I got
All I've got's shaving on a Sunday afternoon

Shave me, shave me, shave me from facial cheese
I got a wool fat soap tryna lather me
And I love to live so cleanly
Live this life of drudgery
Shavin' on a sunny afternoon

In the shower room time
In the shower room time
In the shower room time

My wife's run off with my shavin' brush
And gone back to her ma on the 47 bus
Tellin' tales of SOTD crudity
Now I'm standin' here
Starin' at my bristly fear
Shavin' on a sunny afternoon
Shave me, shave me, shave me, shave away
Well, give me two good reasons why this beard oughta stay
'Cause I love to live so cleanly
Live this life of drudgery
Shavin' on a sunny afternoon

In the shower room time
In the shower room time
In the shower room time

Shave me, shave me, shave me from facial cheese
I got a wool fat soap tryna lather me
And I love to live so cleanly
Live this life of drudgery
Shazin' on a sunny afternoon

In the shower room time
In the shower room time
In the shower room time

A blinder of a Sunday morning shave (see, I do lie continuously) and always nice to have matching village and shaving soap. Both just so happen to be wonderful at whatever it is they do. Being a village? Clueless.

A great start to a new week and off to enjoy a brisk day in Scarborough. A cleanly shaven one at that.

Have a great week ahead people and take my love with you...And take some of these being happy girlies at the same time.

Cyril Salter Solid soap
Asylum Injector
Schick Proline ( 2 )

Second use of this blade, and after a patchy one with a Proline in a PAL Injectomatic this was so much Injector. Smooth and comfortable and without any hassle got a nice close all round finish. Imay well have to save up for one of these Razors to make use of my Proline stache.

Sunday 6th August

Pre • Heno De Pravia
Soap • Pre De Provence No63
Brush • Yaqi Purple Haze Mew Brown
Razor • '59 Gillette Flair Tip
Blade • Wilkinson Sword (Brasil) (2)
Post • Pre De Provence No63 Balm

A quiet home alone Sunday morning shave.
No rush, and all good ingredients made for a very good shave.
This is my second use of this Brazilian Wilkinson Sword Blade - i used it with a Rockwell 6C on Friday evening, but i ran out of time to post my SOTD.
Having used the blade in both a modern and a vintage Razor, I like it.
In the Rockwell it reminded me of Voshkod - to the point and smooth. In the Flair Tip, which I find tends to play down sharpness, it was equally smooth and not overly sharp.
In some SOTD posts, I've seen reports of these blades lasting in excess of 5 shaves. I'll see how it fares on it's next use, and take it from there.

Many thanks to @Mike Smart for sending me the blades.

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend everyone.

A sunny Sunday shave, even if the weather outside is not all that. The Simpson T3 provided plentiful rich lather for a very close two pass shave. The aluminium SE1 is unbelievably efficient. Closer than the R101 yesterday? Yes, I think so.

Pre - Droyt's Classic Glycerose Soap
Brush - Semogue SOC TAJ Boar
Soap - Proraso Wood & Spice
Razor - Schick Hydro-magic 500 J3 1959 - 62
Blade - Personna Injector
Post - Cold water Rinse
Balm - Barts Balm Ben Macdui - Rosemary & Sandalwood
A/S - Avon Siege Cannon " Spicy"
Wk 32 (2).jpg
The Proraso W&S, for me, is a great scent, even though i still find it leaves a residue everywhere i may be tempted to buy it again. Today the SOC TAJ whisked up enough for 4 passes easily.
I completed 3 full passes, although i could have got away with 2 and some touch up. This Schick is both mild on the skin but easily efficient enough for me.
A nice post shave routine with a little indication from the splash on the neck.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.
