SOTD: 07/12/2021

Razor: Pearl Flexi
Blade: Voskhod Teflon Coated, 2nd use
Brush: Omega #625 silver tip badger
Bowl: 3D Printed Bowl
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: Mitchell’s Wool Fat Puck
Aftershave: TOBS No. 7 Lime Aftershave
Balm: Bart’s Balm Ben Cruachan Balm

Realised the last few times I used the Flexi I have been experimenting with it on a higher setting than I usually used. Reverted back to 2.5 and it gave me a much smoother, happier shave, reminding me just what I love about it. The MWF was, as always a simple delight that lather brilliantly. After the simplicity of the shave and soap, I decided to have strong and simple aftershave to contrast the simple soap and the TOBS No. 7!was a zesty delight!

Brush: PAA Switchback Oumo Silk HMW
Soap: NO Firefighter
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Feather Professional (4)
Post: Cold Water and NO Firefighter

Cracking shave this morning, vector is now my firm favourite AC razor. The oumo silk initially felt a little too soft, but after only a handful of uses it is remarkably good. Still a little soft but generates a great lather and releases it freely.

Hope everyone is having a grand day despite this hectic weather.

Cheers

Brilliant Shave today with the fat boy
i don’t really use these vintage razors enough but i really am going to change that.
The blade was surprisingly good, around a 6/10.
Sometimes as you know these vintage blades can be a hit or miss.
The soap is devine and iv recently noticed they have brought out a number 3 with this one being the original & number 2 being the Lavender.
Anyway a cracking shave
Onwards & Upwards
Stay Safe.

Razor: ATT SE1
Blade: Schick Proline (1)
Soap: D.R.Harris Windsor cream
Brush: Alpha Shaving UHD Two-band

Puzzled by the Alpha's so-so performance with the Windsor cream. I've whipped it up beautifully with a relatively new Zenith Boar before. Mind you, the Alpha has the densest knot I have ever seen, by a good chunk. I had a Chubby No 3 which ws bigger, because it wasn't fan cut, but it wasn't as dense.

Wed 8 SOTD
Soap Henri et Victoria Cognac & Cuban Cigars
Brush Spiffo 28mm Manchurian
Razor RazoRock SLOC
Blade KAI Stainless 4th
Aftershaves Stirling Witchhazel MitA + HeV-CCC Balm
The soap scent just stands out! So aromatic...whereas the lather is just acceptable...
A slightly better shave with the razor and blade combination compared to yesterday. Reasonably smooth in 3passes for a slight efficiency edge. In this razor, both the feather & kai blade on the 4th use felt noticeably less efficient & comfortable...strange...
The matching aftershave balm was just awesome!!

SOTD 8th Dec
Brush - Yaqi Sagrada Familia Tuxedo
Soap - Stirling Arkadia
Razor- Rockwell 6c R4
Blade - Dorco Prime Platinum #2
Post - Barts Balm Peppermint

Another reminder of what an easy to use, efficient, smooth and capable razor the Rockwell 6c is. The supporting cast was top notch too, but the Rockwell was the star of the show today.
Take care all and enjoy your shaves
