SOTD : Saturday 3rd February - Friday 9th February 2018.

Wednesday 7th February

Olive Oil Soap and RSC Facial Scrub
Vitos Preshave Cream
Lea Mentholated Shaving Cream
Simpsons Beaufort (6) Badger Brush
Giles Shaving Co. Bowl
Executive Shaving Claymore on a Windrose Handle
Proline-P Blade
Alum Block and Rinse
Nivea Skin Energy Double Action Balm
Osage Rub

It has been some time since I have had a Menthol Shave...and what a belter it was! Everything worked as it should.
Two passes and a touch up for a fantastic BBS shave:)

Greetings All,

Wednesday shave

One day's growth and warm shave

Preparation – Showered then face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)
Soap: P&B Citra Royale
Razor: Rockwell 6C (4P)
Blade: Lord Rainbow (3rd)
Brush: RazoRock 400 (face lather)

Post Shave: Hot then cold water rinse, C&E West Indian Lime AB followed by Michael Kors EDT.

Lord Rainbow Test
Day 3

I am REALLY starting to like this blade – another smooth shave but not effortless. This blade would be nudging the top spot as it shaves so nicely, again no weepers but I had to do a lot of buffing this morning and that alone is why I am ‘umming and ahhing' as to whether it deserves the top spot. My shave finished more than adequate but for those wanting nay demanding BBS on each and every shave it seems after two days, this blade may cause too much trouble as it feels as though it may have already lost its keenness.

Tomorrow will be an interesting shave – Will I have a new No 1?

Cheers,

Brian

Soap: Chiseled Face 'Gearhead'
Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / Barrister & Mann: Latha Taiga Post-Shave Splash

Man, I love those earthy, gritty scents, and they don't come much more 'racetrack' than 'Gearhead'... great scent, and outstanding performance, as you'd expect from Chiseled Face.. which got me thinking.. have they tweaked the formula, because the lather seemed to whip up lighter than I recall with my other CF soaps, and it felt slicker... maybe it was simply because I used ‘Il Cinghiale' to do the honours... whatever the reason, Gearhead will (hopefully) always be in my collection. Love it!

feather asd2 head, windrose heavy handle, polsilver si #6, omega 11126, bond a/s, aloe gel.

I used a normal hand soap to shave today - it's an Italian soap from tk maxx - it was so slick I thought I'd give it a go as a shave soap and it performed as well as any of my shaving soaps - good stable lather, nice protection, glide. I'll be using this as my travel soap this year - am very pleased. the heavy handle made the shave a bit closer - I love the asd2 and find it gives me a great shave but the windrose added another level to it
