Where do you start with a title like that?
Anyway today I was lucky enough to meet Arthur
@Electrif and purchased his Rocnel 316 P. After some great advice and practical lessons I decided to use it for tonight's shave. The razor was cleaned in barbicide today ready for tonight.
I was also lucky enough to get a Vito's soap sample which I pressed into a tin and some of Arthur's Homemade Bay Rum A/S.
A nice hot face wash, a layer of the Nuage oil, a nice face lather with the Omega and Vito's, it worked really well.
The razor was loaded with half a Voskhod and I was ready to go, very much with a lot of intrepidation.
Using the same advice of using my ER 1912 for the1st time, I started with the head flat to my face and gradually dropped the angle until I found the cutting angle, it was not actually too far away from normal DE shave angle, the soap and oil doing there job I continued without any incident at all on the first pass, during the rinse off I noticed that my face was not that stubble free, prepped again and went for an ATG pass, the blade was tugging a bit and after the second pass I still had a lot left. This is actually a very mild razor with the Voskhod in it. I decided to do a multi pass with my game changer just to finish off, I did not want any soreness.
The next run will be with an Astra SP as I know it cuts my stubble easily. I will also use the same care and attention.
Some indication from the Alum block that did not last long. A splash of homemade witch hazel, a good dollop of Floid balm and a splash of
@Electrif's homemade Bay Rum AS. And very nice it is too.
Summary
That bloke in the video is doing something wrong or is a complete radge packet. With practice and blade match I am going to really enjoy this heavyweight.
All in all a very enjoyable experience.
Thank you very much Arthur.
Have a great night all.
