Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented
Razor: TSR Fatboy (7,7,5)
Blade: Wizamet (2)
Brush: UKWSS Alpha Badger
Bowl: Captains Choice Copper Standard
Soap: HoM Indigo
Splash: HoM Indigo

Noticeable step up to 7 - knocked off another 4 days of growth with ease. Felt nervous stepping up and not sure I’ll push the fatboy any higher, I usually prefer milder razors! Still smooth and a pleasure to use.

Indigo is a lovely scent, one of the few fruity scents to stay in the den.

Thanks again TSR for the Fatboy - if anyone is interested in having a shot get your name down!

Pre - Palmolive Sea Minerals
Brush - Yaqi Plissoft 22mm
Soap - Signature Soaps Eboracum
Razor - Wilkinson Sword Fliptop
Blade - Astra SS (4)
Post - Witch Hazel
AS - La Rive Brutal Classic

Some days it's difficult to muster up enthusiasm for much, today was one of those days. I eventually dragged myself into the bathroom to tidy myself up with a shave and comb the mess of hair on my head.

Signature Soaps Eboracum seems to be my go to shaving soap when I'm having such a day and once again it seemed to do the job. It really is a great lather, has the gloss, shine and cushion of my favourite tallow based shaving soaps. A nice smooth and comfortable shave with the Astra SS in the Wilkinson Fliptop, this particular blade doesn't seem to get as much recognition as it's Platinum counterpart but I think the SS version is a little more forgiving in the shave.

I finished the shave with a few splashes of La Rive Brutal, a nice old fashioned herby scent.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday chaps.

Ganders Goat Soap w/Hop, Sage & Birch
Culmak (Vintage 1980s?) Shaving Bowl & Razorock 400 Limited Edition w/Plissoft Noir Synthetic 24mm
Ever-Ready Streamling (1950s) & GEM by Personna (7)
Jade East (Vintage) Aftershave

Enjoying my 1950s Streamline which doesn't get much of a look-in what with my preference being for the 1930s variant. Nevertheless, a really classy shave! Continuing to enjoy this vintage Culmak soap, too. Lovely stuff!

Finishing off with a splash of vintage misogyny ...

Jade East (not the pornographic actress) was the original citrus musk. Wonderful strength, even for an aftershave, but that's how the used to make them. And in no way do I now smell of Arko @Tony'schin :ROFLMAO:

Razor: Razorock SLOC
Blade: Bic Chrome (2)
Brush: Simpson Duke 3
Soap: Zingari Man The Watchman
Aftershave: Zingari Man The Watchman Splash

Haven't shaved for a few days, went to stay with a friend in Wales for the weekend and planned to enjoy that lovely soft Welsh water, until he forgot to turn the water heater on! Instead I had to wait until I got home, with a storm raging outside and after a blisteringly hour shower I had a real hot shave. I really have the water this hot as it's quite drying for my skin but this felt really good. The SLOC felt a little aggressive at first, but that's down to how much blade is on show, it actually did a phenomenonal job and quickly gave me a close comfortable shave. I'm looking forward to having another go with it tomorrow as it's punching above it's price point with this performance.20221023_165641.jpg

Fabulous lather from the soap has an aromatic refreshing scent...perfect for the morning. The brush and AS completed the perfect setup. This shave with the blade in the razor was really good too. Crisp and comfortable in 3passes for a bbs finish but also with 2 weepers...hmmm...

Brush: C&H 'Manga'
Soap: Wood & Spice
Razor: Gillette Old Revamp
Blade: 7 O'Clock SP (2)
Post: Wood & Spice Balm and EDT

Excellent shave this morning, wood and spice being amongst the first soaps I bought and carried with me on this journey into the warrens, and still remains an excellent choice!

Good run with the old and 7 O'Clock pairing, still tend to go with GSB or Nacets but absolutely no dramas in this shave.

Hope everyone has a grand day and a good kick off to the week.

Cheers

I have been listed as missing in action. I had my covid booster on Friday and I got up out of bed this morning. It always does that to me.

Anyroadup, after a couple of weeks of AC shaving this week I am hitting the GEM razors that I have as a theme of the week.

Apologies to all the knowledgeable experts out there, I know nothing about these razors so I will probably get their names wrong (and am very happy to be corrected).

This morning it is the turn of a 1940's G bar? Paired with some Phoenix and Beau it made for a lovely mild shave. If my research is correct it is the mildest of the GEM style razors that I have assuming I have identified it correctly.
