SOTD : Saturday 19th May - Friday 25th May 2018

Preshave: Proraso Green
Brush: Shavemac DO1 Custom
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood
Razor: Rockwell 6s - level 3
Blade: Feather - 2nd time out
Post: Barts Balms - Amber and Jasmine balm followed by squirt of same flavour as oil
Scent: None

Never posted in here before but if you cannot beat them ......................

Only disappointment here was the soap. I used to like it. Scent still good but the lather etc not so. I am really a cream boy now. I use the DO1 on soaps especially has it has more backbone but it did not really work today. Therefore only went 2 passes.

The BARTS is lovely though - get on this guys.

Therefore only went 2 passes as have also had issues with the feathers combination on neck but that was more down to cranking up to level 6 I think. No probs today

The lid has been left off this soap for about 10 weeks to try and get rid of the cat pee smell and I'm glad to say the cat has finally pissed off, because this soap is very much worth rescuing.
Happy Shaving one and all.

Friday

SMN Tabacco Toscana
RazoRock BC Silvertip 24mm
Face lather
Ever Ready 1912 Streamline
Gem SS PTFE
Thayer's Cucumber and Aloe Vera
Alum
Pitralon Classic after shave

An outstanding shave today. For a non-tallow soap, the SMN really delivers; with a lovely background of menthol. Another effortless performance from my favourite vintage SE.

Friday 25th May

GFCC Cream
YaqI Chianti 24mm Synthetic
Rockwell 6C plate 3
Derby Extra (1)
Lavender witch hazel (home mix)
Lynx Dark Temptation Aftershave

What made me use a Derby blade I don't know?
It was clear from the start that it wasn't very effective as it wasn't removing as much stubble as sharper blades would.
I persevered and after my usual two passes, WTG & ATG and plenty of touch ups, I attained a BBS finish.
This cream, I hadn't used for months. I had forgotten how good it performs. It offers protection and glide galore, and for the price it's excellent value.
Another very good value item in tonight's shave is Lynx DarkTemptation Aftershave.
Straight off I could feel it nourishing my skin, and over three hours later it's still doing the business and the scent is still going strong.
For around £2.50 it's a star buy.

Wishing you all a good Bank Holiday weekend.

A bad shave this evening, the blade is absolute crap. Ended up with loads of little weepers underneath my chin.

The only Treet blade I would recommend is the regular carbon.

I tried DuraSharp and found them to be rough and nasty
