Having never used Proraso Red, I picked up a tube yesterday - primarily to offset the disappointment of my missing Polish shipment :rolleyes: This served to prove -yet again - that I've followed others down their rabbit hole over the last year, and mine is primarily one which takes me in search of great performances from bargain products. Smell and performance were great, and the Gillette did its job. Still below Super Blue/GSB but more than adequate. I can see a clear out in the New Year and a reset on how I approach setups.

Decent shave this morning, the Hawk really is a good razor but there's just something about it that doesn't tick all the boxes for me regardless of the blade I throw in.

It was a good idea at the time and i guess i’ll need to do it in the future but man i like my home comforts.
To be fair it was a good shave,
The tryefitt & hill creams are very good
The Blade is well iv used it twice & that’s enough for me.
I’m Home late last night & now in my bed with flu like symptoms NOT COVID which is a brucey bonus.
Next couple of days i should be back to Normal i hope.
i don’t even think iv got flu
think iv just got a heavy cough & sore head.
Anyway Onwards & Upwards
Stay Safe Lockdown imminent.

First use of homemade brush went very well until I squeezed the soap out at the end of the shave and the silicone bond failed.

Superb shave and like so many before, I love the post shave feel of the HWF.

This is a very nice aromatic soap...kinda tobacconist...really love it but use sparingly it due to its limited quantity.
A kinda rush shave but still enjoyable. Able to speed shave easily with this razor paired with the blade that seems like losing the efficiency for acceptable results in 3passes for a dfs finish and top-off with nice aftershaves!
