A quick afternoon two pass shave, mainly to try out a new soap and splash.

Nice comfortable shave, no nicks or irritation.
Not as close as I like but that was expected and should mean I can shave again in the morning.
 
Wed 20th October

Used the Yaqi V3 for the first time. I fitted it with a Kai Pink Blade, and because the Razor is not wide one must centre the blade to prevent overhang which could cause problems. As for the rest - Well it is Wednesday.
The first pass a little harsh then settled down. A really good Shave marred by me getting a cut near the tip of the chin, and I have not a clue how I did it.

blade - Feather Pro (13)
brush - Simpson Trafalgar T2
soap - Ach Brito - Mogno
post - witch hazel
a/s - Aqua Velva - Spanish
balm - none
scent - Gotas Frescas.

My Shave today consisted of...
Prep The Cube Menthol.
Brush Yaqi Aqua Blue 24mm Knot.
Soap Henri et Victoria Cognac and Cuban Cigars.
Razors Kropp 7/8th and the Leaf for my head.
Blade used Bic Blade.
Aftershave Adidas old school 1980's

Hi I have not posted in a while so today I decided to have a zen moment and chill out with a slow and steady straight shave.
Hot shower first followed by a very slow and unrushed shave, I only needed 1 pass with the straight and a quick zip around the lip and chin area with my R89, I can never get it as smooth as I like with the straights.
The Cognac and Cuban Cigars soap I used is simply wonderful and often I will give it a sniff before going to sleep at night just because I can lol.
A successful shave that leaves me looking fabulous and smelling awesome :D , the wife will be pleased when she gets home.

Pulled out all the stops and "went to town" on this 2nd shave.
Verdict: great shave, but this razor in essence really shaves no differently in the end from an E 2 or E 3 when held properly IMO.

*This soap was a Signature freebie but it came with no label. Bowl lathered very well and gave a good result does heat from a double skinned bowl help?

** This small razor gives a good result but I’ll find a heavier longer handle for it.

Just give it plenty of water, it will take it. Who sent you sample? They should know which one it was
