Fri 21st April
RazoRock Plissoft 24mm
OSP Bay Rum
PAL S/S Adjustable
Schick " Chick " [ 6 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse off
Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion

A return to Vintage Razors after an interlude with modern Razors. Quite interesting that the PAL like The Supply Single Edge is an Injector Razor , so a comparison might be made. Though I have finally come to grips with the latter , having got the Shaving Angle right.I am convinced that I can get better and more consistent Shaves with the PAL than its modern equivalent.

Many who like the Single Edge probably cannot get on with the PAL , as it is a bit quirky and folk find it difficult to get the angle right. If I had to make choice between the Two, the PAL would win. Having said that
I have not tried a modded AC Blade in The Supply.

Todays Shave was smooth, comfortable and close.:)

A great shave today with one of my favorite vintage razors - the Leresche 77

Great razor - once you get used to the blade gap, it works beautifully.

Pre Shave: Hot Shower, L'Oreal Hydra Power Face Wash and Proraso white
Razor: iKon 101 + OSS handle
Blade: Racer (#1)
Brush: The Real Shaving Co. Synthetic
Cream: The Real Shaving Co.
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Thayers unscented
AS: Nivea Originals Replenishing Balm

This Racer blade feels very much the same as the Silver Star blade I used last, which is not surprising as I suspect they are in fact the same blade with different packaging and printing on the blade.

Interesting packaging on this pack of Racer blades in the link below, remind you of anything?

That packaging could be mistaken for an altogether better blade :)

PAA Prismatic razor
Gillette Wilkinson Sword (#1 China)
OSP Sandalwood soap
Maggard 22mm black synthetic brush
Denim original AS

I have never had a better shave. I have had equal shaves, but none better. Simply outstanding.

Note: this was the Gillette Wilkinson Sword made in China, but in a tuck not marked P&G (Procter & Gamble) and the first time I have used one of those, having used before those made in China but w/o the P&G logo on the lower back of the tuck. I need to test these two SxS.

Merkur Futur (wound down to No1 , still working on technique)
New Astra blade
Tabac soap
Mason Pearson pure badger brush.
Nivea post shave balm.
Old spice splash to finish.
Three passes, and only the slightest nick on my neck on pass two.
Still getting razor burn on my neck, even without applying undue pressure, .
First try of Tabac soap. It didn't make a thick creamy lather on this occasion. I'll work on that in future.
It smells very 70's, just as I remembered from my childhood!

Friday's shave - back home, with full creature comforts.

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Coal Tar Soap and Village Barbour Shave Oil.
Razor - Hone 15.
Blade - Gillette Seven O'clock Yellow (day 4).
Soap - Cella Crema da Barba AllÂ’Olio Di Mandorla.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2 - Best Badger.
Post shave - OSP Eucalyptus & Menthol Splash, followed by L'Occtitane Cade Aftershave Balm.

Close comfortable two pass shave today, good result, was slightly surprised as this was day 4 with the same blade.

Have a good weekend all,

Chris

Rounding out the week with a full on facinorous fougere shave!
@flashashton27 - facinorous? Ok - I'll admit I had to look that up. It means in context - 'extremely wicked.' From mid 16th century onwards from Latin - facinorosus, from facinus, facinor- ‘(bad) deed', from facere ‘do, make'. Nice mate - my word of the week. Thanks - I
