Good to use CP again, the weight compared to 1924 with light handle seem to assist the ease of shave. with a new blade got a close shave, but felt need the use of a balm as a little sore.

First time out with the Merkur 42C. It took a little getting use to as it is a much smaller / lighter razor than all the others in my cabinet but produced a very nice 3 pass BBS shave this morning.

Pre: RazoRock menthol/lime soap
Soap: BowTie "Bay Rum"
Brush: 'Mystery' 22mm/48mm Gen-4 synthetic (Production model testing)
Razor: ATT S2 w/Jurgen Hemple Ti handle
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock black (1)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel with 444 menthol, followed by UK Barbershop Bay Rum
It's a pretty shitty day today. Wet, humid, rain. No Bueno. Everything is made better with a bay rum shave!
Testing a new synthetic brush (origin to remain secret) along with the Above The Tie S-2 razor on loan from a buddy.
The brush has an odd hexagonal pattern when looking top-down and the wet tips clump just like a 'heritage gel-tip' brush. Very VERY soft tips with decent backbone. Fabulous lather from the BowTie soap, though the bay rum scent is really subdued. Performance was out of bounds but let down by the lack of scent. Superior 3-pass BBS topped off with the lovely brown nectar.
