SOTD: Saturday 13 January - Friday 19 January 2024.

  • Razor - 3one6
  • Brush - Omega 10066
  • Cream - Gentlemen's Face Care Club
  • Blade - Wilkinson Sword
  • Post - Bull Dog's Original Moisturiser.
Having picked up a sample pack of blades from Connaughts - I have for the past few days been using the Wilkinson Sword. The ones in the black and white packaging. These were the first baldes I used when I took up DE shaving. Probably not used them in 10 years. I have realised that they are not for me, and some how dont seem to pair well with the EJ 3one6. The value of sample packs - get to try different blades at a relatively low cost, and in small volumes! YMMV etc :)

Second shave with a Statum Platinum Chrome and I like it a lot more than the first shave which was in a Neo Lux Schrägschnitt. This time the prep was Aqueous Cream rather than hand soap which may have helped.

Although not quite BBS ATG everywhere it's very good all over and excellent in many places. The Flexi doesn't get a huge amount of use as its often too much for my daily shaves but I'd gone a couple of days and needed to use it for this one.

I was really in the mood for the scents of the Londinium and the Brummel (not to mention the performance).

Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Pearl Flexi V5
Blade: Statum Platinum Chrome
Brush: Omega S-Brush
Pre-Shave: Aqueous Cream
Lather: Signature Londinium
Aftershave: Puig Brummel aftershave lotion

An earlier shave,
A very efficient, easy to use razor paired with a USA blade, although not in my top 10 of all; it is a razor that keeps me on my toes. A crackin shave and a great day out - been drinking with the lads
I hope you enjoyed yours.

Razor = Occams **
Blade = Feather Pro Guard ( 3 )
Brush = 26mm High Mountain Badger By Bobby Moffat
Soap = OSP No 8
with matching splash
Balm = Executive Shaving Fragrance Free
IMG_0512.jpegThe first Time for me with the Occams,
i received it over a week ago but couldn’t be bothered with all the cleaning
lazy bugger i know.
I decided to go with the pro guard purely because it’s had a couple of uses so not point in taking another new blade.
The shave was terrific although as @LeeMaz said it’s just not he Oren however it’s definitely a capable substitute.
I feel sorry for all the new guys on here not knowing anything about OSP it’s such a wonderful soap.
For me OSP, Signature & Wickhams were my 3 best british artisans,
And now osp is a distant memory.
I’m Thankful i have around 7 or 8 OSP’s to help me numb my sorrows.
Anyway rant over
hope you are all enjoying the weekend
Stay Safe.
