Switching to a different 1940s British Tech for the weekend and a lovely shave with the No.00 Bakelite Set. Lovely!

4th Shave in my homage week, and the best one to date.
This soap for me is first class,
Think of Old Spice then add a big hit of cinnamon & Orange and that’s what we have here,
My wife hates Old Spice but she loved this version.
Not that i care what she thinks o_O
but hey it’s always nice to get compliments
even although i know she doesn’t mean it lol.
I can’t remember the last time i used this razor but it was brilliant which makes me think why it’s been so long since iv used it.
Think i’ll take it abroad with me.
paired with the Gillette Blue it was a top performer.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: Cella Extra Extra Bio Organic Aloe Vera Shaving Cream.
Blade: Silver Star Super Stainless. (D2)
Razor: 1950's Gillette Ball End Tech. (US) -

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Cella Bio Organic Aloe Vera ASL./ Aloe Vera Gel.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

Everything in my shave set up this morning worked together wonderfully...The Cella bio Aloe Vera shaving cream provided me with a protective slick lather in no time leaving a superb post shave feel.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups close shave with no errors to report..Finishing to the shave off with a small dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine. ;)

With my razors still in "storage ( i.e. 2 razor storage Boxes are in the loft) the Karve gets another run out. Today fitted with the Greek Astor, No glue bumps for those who do not like them - they never really bothered me ;). You can feel it cutting on the first couple of strokes then it settles down. A nice enough 2 pass shave leaving me BBS and very comfortable.

What was expected to be a terryfing shave turned into a terrific one. Unlike masamune oc plate the nodachi oc plate doesn't have a bigger blade gap compared to the sb counterpart. So really the only difference is the teeth. And surprisingly it felt smoother than the solid bar. I could still feel the open comb's teeth dragging around my face but the shave felt better. And that is a good thing.
Would I buy this razor in this configuration? Onky if I had extra cash to spend. It's not something that would suit me on a daily basis.
