Soap: Proraso sensitive
Brush: Semogue 620
Razor: Gillette new head on a aluminium tech handle
Blade: Astra SP

Really good shave today, usually find the new a bit aggressive and nearly always get a nick, but working on the heavy head makes the razor less aggressive seems to work and on the ultra light aluminium tech handle gave a reality nice smooth shave.

Maybe I should mix and match my razors a bit more.

Tech head on a stainless steel handle next....

Monday x November, 2014

Prep: Zirh Alpha Hydroxy Face Wash
Pre: TOBS Herbal Pre-Shave Gel
Brush: Vie-Long 14080 Mixed Horse & Badger

Post: Alum, Myrsol Metisol, Kiehl's Ultimate Men's After Shave Balm
Fragrance: Knize Forest Toilet Water

Result: Nice, nice, nice. Love the Vie-Long, a fabulous brush.

All the best,

Jon

Monday

Edwin Jagger DE89 + Gillette Platinum #2
TomTop D01 Synthetic
Nivea Originals Shaving cream
Old Spice Hawkridge ASL

This brush is really good. Super soft, great with creams, it wips up lather like a madman. Really a surprising brush.

Kent soap
Vulfix Bodger
11H New, English Wilkie
Skin Bracer

Been round my little stable of razors this past month. This LC New is still my favourite. Time for a bit of a shake up. Cased Aristocrat #21 and maybe a Fat Handle Tech likely to end up on BST. Have a Progress on the way and going to be keeping my eye out for some short comb OCs.

Merkur 38c
Personna med prep
Valobra soap
Omega 98
Myrsol f/extra
Trumpers Spanish leather cologne :)

It's been a while since I've used this soap and I don't remember why I put it away. Excellent thick & fragrant lather. Dialed the Schick to '5' and got a very nice comfortable 3-pass BBS.

SOTD

After a week off work decorating the kitchen and my bathroom, I broke out the big guns for my first shave back in my regular bathroom.

Rubberset re knotted with Omega (Thanks Ratty, blooming rather well now)
Wickhams Supersmooth Sandlewood, good stuff indeed
Scottish NOS 1960's Perma Sharp
Darwin hand made in Gods own country
Myrsol F Extra

Using the spare bathroom was ok, but it'a good to be back. Like the new packaging from Wickhams, easier to load and a little more practical for me than the old pancake tubs

Darwin is good, no real blade exposure, no real blade gap but by jingo it is efficient! Wouldn't like to use it every day!

Have a great evening chaps..

Cold water splash
Lea Stick (grated)
TGN 24mm Finest in Commodore X3 handle
ATT M2 Kronos
Perma-Sharp Super (3)
Penhaligon's Opus 1870 EDT

Close and smooth shave after having skipped sunday.

Hmmm, didn't know there was a Hawkridge OS AS. Where did you pick that up from?

What is the scent like?
