Sunday

Razor : EJ DE86
Blade : Lord SC
Brush : Omega 80080
Cream : TOBS Avocado
Splash : Clinique Happy

Decided to try the EJ/Lord combo out again after the recent Lord SC thread. Very nice sahve in the combo. Love the TOBS cream, got to be amongst the best I have. Maybe the best.

Monday:

RSC cream
Semogue 2012 SE
Long Comb New/JEC Handle
Feather
Witch Hazel
TOBS Shaving Shop AS
Nivea Anti-Irritation ASB

Nice and smooth, good start to the week.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage rebranded Simpsons best
Schick M type adjustable injector/Gillette Twinjector (NOS)
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
Boots AS Balm
Roger & Gallet L'homme 'Sport' EdT

Second use of this old twinjector blade and it seems to be a good one. Sharp, but smooth and forgiving, although not quite as sharp as the old Gillette Platinum Plus ones. Hmmm, I may have to look around for more of these, having only found a few 5 packs recently.

BBS results,

Martin

Monday

Muhle R41 Rosegold 2013' 1st pass
Polsilver Super Iridium
Muhle R101 2011' 2nd pass
WS NOS Stainless (England)
Sabi Clear Blue Best Badger
Kappus Shave Cream
Nivea Balm
Booster Oriental Spice Aftershave

Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad shaving soap
Henk walnut silvertip
Schick M adjustable on 5, 3, 1 with Gillette Trac II twin injector blade
Givenchy Gentleman a/s

Very good. Never tried these blades before and they're above average for sharpness and smoothness. The Nomad soap is excellent. The a/s is very nice and I'd been looking for a cheap one for a long time (it was about 20% full on ebay)

Frankie, how do you find the Juniper Sling?

GFT almond soap
Vulfix Bodger
New #11H service set, Polsilver SI
Barbershop Bay Rum
RSC balm

Polsilver SI didn't seem as smooth as I recall them being last time I used 1.

Prep: Hot shower (and I guess face lathering goes under this head line too :))
Brush: Simpson Tulip 2
Razor: C V Heljestrand M K no:8
Cream/AS: ARKO
Strops: Neil Miller
Resutl: Uberclean :D

Great face lather brush, I used to have a two band of this brush, but I actually like this three band better (so far a very short while though ;)). Fantastic razor, doesn't get much better than this, in my experience :D

This was a sample I got from Penhaligon's and that I just finished. It's nice, but not earth-shattering IMO. It has a 'gin & tonic' type opening, fresh and perfectly suited for Spring, but the sweet and powdery dry down comes along fast and it has fairly weak projection and longevity. It would definitely be safe as an office fragrance as I can't see anyone objecting to it, but there are other Penhaligon fragrances that I prefer, Opus 1870 being my favorite. Hope this helps...

You are amassing a nice collection of very pretty Simpson's brushes, Brian. An en masse pic would be grand, please. :D
