SOTD Sat. 13th April to Fri. 19th April 2013

Prep: Face Wash w/ Glycerine Soap, Cold Water
Soap: L'Occitane Cade
Brush: Shavemac 177 Silvertip
Razor: Gillette Slim (5, 5, 4)
Blade: Polsilver SI (5 and out)
Post: Thayers Cucumber WH, Clinique Post-Shave Healer, Clinique M Lotion
EdT: Lalique Hommage a l'Homme

Nice shave but for a couple small weepers, possibly due to Polsilver having run its course. New blade and different razor tomorrow.

Saturday:

La Toja cream
Semogue SOC Boar
Ever Ready Streamline
GEM blade
Witch Hazel
Barbershop Bay Rum
Nivea Skin Energy ASB

First time I've used the La Toja cream for ages. I really like it, really slick and I love the scent. Near BBS, nice and easy.

Evening, all.

Saturday:

Prep: Claus Porto Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJDE89 with iKon Bulldog handle
Blade: Gillette Super Thin (1)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave cream: Super Max
A/S: Homemade Alpa Fougere
Cologne: Alpa Fougere

Accidental BBS, no irritation.

Saturday evening shave this week and co-incidentally my razor ratation threw up the same make and model shown in post 1.

Santa Maria Novella pre-shave.
MdeC soap.
Wacker Chevalier 2011 Anniversary Razor.
Alum/Thayers Witch Hazel AS (Nearly wrote Thatchers Witch there even though I don't believe in such things),
Weleda Balm

The razor was freshly honed this afternoon and is a superb shaver. I bought the balm this week after reading some reviews here - Amazon were selling it at about half price so I bought two on free delivery as well. Good stuff. The soap is fantastic and lathered well in the suribachi bowl. I find it difficult to separate it from Santa Maria soap as they are very similar and both are excellent performers.

Cracking shave today before work

Hot shower
Sport star shave oil
Arko Maximum Comfort shaving cream
Weishi razor with a Personna blade loaded 2nd shave
3 pass shave - with across then against
Nivea asb

Some may snigger at a Weishi razor but with a decent blade it does he business.

Which suribachi is that, not a Woodhead I think? Nice looking though.

It came from Amazon USA at about £13 delivered. Exactly the same thing is about £35 on Amazon UK. By the way the size is perfect - I started a thread last week if you want more details.

Decided to give cold water/lather shaving a go to see if it reduces irritation, definitely converted now.

Prep- Nivea sensitive shave wash with cold water

Soap - Fitjar Shea
Brush - Vulfix Synthetic
Post - cold splash then as cold as I could get face towel left on the face

A very enjoyable shave after a long night shift, no irritation, Voskhod quickly becoming my favourite blade
