I Covered that here in this Thread..The Gem Type Stropping Blades Can be Maintained & Brought Back with Lapping Film & Pastes..it raises a question on what can and cannot be honed.
its "common" knowledge that the vintage thin gem STYLED blades aren't worth much in lapping, unless its the heldjstrand from Sweden, or the very early Sheffield stuff for the Wilkinson . However the use of the lapping films raises the question of how we can keep the old blades going longer.
Sorry, bad choice of word, she passed away so no chance of getting her back unfortunately. I love rats, the Mrs hates them. No chance of every getting rats.I Hope the lost Guinea Pig Turns Up..I Have Lost My Rat for Days & Got it Back..Yeah..These Hollow Ground Blade SEs are a Serious Learning Curve a Bit Like SRs..You Have to Learn How to Shave.."Period"..That's is in a Nutshell..Its Not Until One Uses Hollow Ground SEs & SRs One Learns that they Don't Know How to Shave..
Factory Blade Razors are Like a Planes Auto Pilot..Hollow Ground Blade SEs & SRs are When You Have Full Control of the Joy Stick..Or Another Analogy..Factory Blade Razors are Like a Child on a Pushbike with Stabilizer's..In Short..Hollow Ground Blade SEs Take a Lot of Skill to Use..And Yeah..Those Blades are Wicked Sharp..
All..Factory Blade Safety Razors are the Equivalent of Cartridge Razors Compared to Traditional Hollow Ground Blade SEs..There is Nothing Traditional about Any Disposable Factory Blade Razor..

Can't disagree with anything you've said there. I'm still on the learning bike! Lovely razor though, really hope I learn to master it. Not many youtube vids on SE Wedge shaving, just got to muddle your way through a little!
Haha you know I don't ignore it! I try and follow advice to the letter, it's from people who know far more about this business than I currently do or probably ever will
That must make for some interesting bar conversations....I had just about all of them including a Number of French Hoes..
