Having got up and cut the lawn, i decided to have a cooling shave. I am not over keen on the mega menthol hit (so not a huge fan of the Proraso Green), but the amount of menthol in the White tub is just about right.

Have a nice weekend gents.

Super Travel brush
Trumpers Coconut cream

Not a great shave as it was early and I was in a rush. I actually got a M3 ready, lathered up, then last moment grabbed the DE. I still think a better shave than I would have got with the M3, although I did manage to nick myself, first time for ages (this year).

Have a good weekend chaps.

Pre: Hot shower
Players: Heljestrand no 31 and Törnblom
Brush: Semogue 2000
Soap: Tabac (in my new quest to get rid of all soaps I´ll not have in the future)
Astringent: Alum from India
Post: Proraso
AS: Dr Harris Sandalwood

Result: Very good! But the helje had to play second violin today. I was going to use her for the face and the Törnblom for the head. BUT it was so nice to shave with the Törnblom, that I just kept going and pulled a full first pass on face and head, then a second pass on face with the Helje. Very, very nice shave today indeed!

Saturday Afternoon

MWF wash soap
Slim (4) & Astra (3)
DRH Marlborough Cream & 404 Mix
Alum
OS ASL

Finally decided on using the sample of DRH Marl. today with the task of 18hr growth and a shave 3 blade. Nice cream, really very nice cream, unfortunately all i could smell was the cardboard from the container - my own fault, it was probably decanted by Paul about 6 weeks ago :| . So if you already like the scent and are wondering if the cream is any good, the answer is ..... yes.

Oh, and todays shave? 2 passes, nice and smooth :)

A really pleasant shave - well - I thought so.

Saturday

EJ DE87
Trumpers Limes cream
Commodore
Gillette Platinum (1)
RazorRock alum
Aquatonic
RSC Balm

A late shave following a shower, not bad but the blade felt a tad snatchy to begin with. I'm getting better at the neck stretching though, a nice close finish under my chin for a change.

Sunday

Futur
Swede
EJ Best Badger
Castle Forbes Pre-Shave
Proraso Green Tea and Aloe Soap
Clinique Post Shave Soother

The shaves with the Swedes had not been as smooth as with the Iridium, so today I cranked the Futur from 2.5 (as used with the Iridium) up to 4. Made a world of difference! Much better.

An Arlington day for me today. I'm loving the D R Harris creams, which produce a lovely thick lather. Less convinced by the AS, as it doesn't seem to have a lasting fragrance on me.

Re: Shave of the Day. W/C Sat 5 June 2010

Sunday

"Right-Away" Straight Razor
Kent BK 2
St James "Founders Reserve" S/C
Organic Shea Butter

Not had the old straight out in a while, due to using my Sunday mornings to follow my nephew's footie team. Now that the season is over, (undefeated league win & promotion :p ) I can spend a bit more time on a luxurious Sunday shave!

The razor performed beautifully, although I feel a bit rusty and clumsy using it. 2 decent passes, with 1 nick (pimple), left my face feeling smooth and supple. I think my lather was a bit thick for straight shaving, which I'll have to remedy next time. The Shea Butter feels just made for my skin. Love the stuff!

Mmmm.......Sunday....
