Shave gels/cream/foam/soaps?

Hi, I have a question for you shavers...

What shave prep do you typically reach for/use? (Foam, cream, gel?) Why do you use this?

Or if you don’t use any shave gels/foams/creams etc, why?

Apologies if this isn’t suitable for this forum, just thought you would be able to help me out

If I was going to use a shave gel which I do every now and then in a hurry it would have to be Clinique shave gel reason it’s very slick and soothing. Haven’t tried the Elemis shave gel but heard others say it’s also great in a hurry. Otherwise it’s traditional shave soaps and creams with brush
 
There’s far to many products out there so why use shect.
Well that’s my philosophy anyway
however i do use one canned foam called
Elemis not cheap at around £30 i think but to be honest once it done it’s done, i very much doubt i’d buy it again.
All these soap/cream products the lads use on here are far better for your skin than the canned goo out the supermarkets
 
Ideally i take a shower before a shave to prep my stubbles, and then use either soap or cream. its been quite a while since i tried anything canned.
