Thanks Paul.
You have converted me to SE shaving. I have been using the Streamline - not a nick. Very little burn. I have not used Schick but have a few. How do Schicks compare with SE shaving? And which is the best model to start with?

Mine came with 5 originals, just had a shave with it, set on number 4, WTG pass, one more XTG and bbs, amazing.
How does it compare with say the 1912 or similar razors?

You should easily get 5/6 shaves.

Get some connaught blades and keep your remaing vintage for another day

My pleasure.

Regarding injectors, I'm really not the right person to ask ... I tried 'em all and struggled. I retained one - the Gillette 'Twinjector' which happily takes single injector blades as well as their proprietry "twin" injector blades. I like that razor very much, especially with Gillette Platinum Plus blades which I have to secure from eBay and the like.

I didn't get on with Schicks at all ... the closest to a successful shave came from an 'E', the other half-decent shave was from one of these adjustable. I would not call any of my Schick shaves a pleasure.

LOTS of other people do and will swear by them ...

Let's hope you're one of those guys.

Got to say i love my 1912 and would say of the 2 i prefer it over the schick, but i will keep shaving with the schick as it is a good change, and gives a good shave.

2 bidders on this, up to $71 with nearly 2 days to go. Anyone on here one of the bidders?

Hiya,

Something like this mint condition item won't reflect what's the usual retail price for a good condition used razor. Last I checked not too long ago they were reasonable without a case.....$30 range average or thereabouts.

Heh, not to enable anyone, but those are one of the top injector models. Been using mine the last five days with an old Schick blade and it's been fun.
