Here is a thread about this brush already started in the brushes section:

These brushes are exclusively available only through QEDusa. The brand name was adopted by the owner, Charles. There is much speculation about the manufacturer. This has never been disclosed.

The QED website contains a lot of useful information about brushes in general: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.qedusa.com/shaving-brushes-c-33.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.qedusa.com/shaving-brushes-c-33.html</a><!-- m -->

I recently added a 3824 to my collection. I also have the 3122.

Not a lot to add. It is a quality brush which is very highly rated. At around £80 it compares favourably with the stars of the Simpsons, Plisson and Rooney stables. A dense 24mm knot with a loft of 54mm makes for a large brush. A luxury cream brush, but equally at home with generating great lather from soaps. Face latherers might find it just a tad too big for comfort.

The Savile Row range are very nice brushes. But they are available only in the USA. It seems odd that anyone outside the USA should bother about buying them if the company restrict their shipments within their own country. Equally good alternatives are available elsewhere. But if you do decide to make the effort, the brushes will not disappoint.

I've owned three SRs, and they are top quality. Neither one shed a single hair, which is more than can be said of Rooney and Simpson...

They are available outside US, just email Charles. He accepts PayPal!

I have never had to pay import duty either! :)

All three gone by the wayside John?

I had older 3824 and 3122 with longer lofts, I sold them only due to size.

I got a new shorter-lofted 3120 which was fantastic too - just a little too small.

I now have a short-lofted 3122 which is just the best all around brush I've owned, and it fits me like a glove. Boy does it lather! I'm playing with a couple of boars but will likely sell them and get a 3118 for fun/travel.

I can't count obviously, I'm actually on my fourth! :mrgreen:

Can't fault the products or the service - I want to try the QED soap which is supposed to be awesome too.
