Today, totally french shave!

Pre hot towel + L'Occitane CADE shaving soap + Plisson synthetic + Merkur open comb with Pearl handle and Gillette-Wilkinson + L'Occitane CADE balm with Mennen splash

This Plisson is simply fantastic, it's hard to believe that a so soft brush produces so much lather! In the other hand, I found this Merkur head too mild for my beard.

Cheers!

SATURDAY MORNING

Prep: Warm rinse, Bulldog face wash
Brush: Coates Fitzwilliam
Soap: Institut Karite - suribachi lathered
Razor: Muhle R89 Jet
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium
Post: Witch hazel, GFT balm

A good shave, except for somehow leaving a rough patch above the right hand side of my mouth.

I'm blaming my wife, who had one of her customary 'sauna baths' meaning I had to keep mopping the mirror with a hand towel and thereby missing a bit of my beard!

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso pre-shave - sensitive
Soap: Stirling Bay Rum
Bowl: Woodhead Pedestal
Brush: MÜHLE Kosmo silvertip synthetic
Razor: Weber polished on ATT Kronos
Blade: Rapira (2)
After: Barbershop Bay Rum, Limes Skin Food

Every so often you get that Oh My Science that was a damn good shave! Today was one of those days. I've not used Stirling for far too long and was great to bring it out. It needs a little longer loading and a few minutes more whipping in the bowl but the result is just wonderful. Slick, glossy and feels fantastic on the skin.

Comparing my Weber against the ATT R2 and it's a really close call. Today's Weber outperformed my ATT but that might be because of Stirling. The result is BBS no irritation. All today's gear are my favourites; what a team!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Imaginative photo work. Congrats.

Thanks - As I was doing this I got a few more ideas around shooting through glass but I need more loo rolls to stack and put the glass sheet on to move it further away from the shaving paraphernalia.

Nothing worse than running out of loo roll whilst you are on the job
