Result: Real good. I was expecting problems with the Dorco blade, but it worked a treat for me. Neep brush was a dream match for the Jabonman, which is probably now my top soap. I love it.

Have a great weekend fellas. Woburn Sands Folk Festival today if anyone fancies it....

A great shave now off for a few weekend drinks in Newcastle. (Well, not right now, still a little early. Actually it must be 5 o'clock somewhere in the Empire!)

First time trying head and handle combination, nice shave no irritation just 1 nick under chin due to carelessness.

English fat handled tech
silver star
omega 49
simpsons unscented shaving cream
vintage yardleys AS lotion
jo Malone vetyver cologne

im really starting to like this simpsons cream. its taken a few goes to figure out the water ratio, but now I have im very impressed. I may try one of the flavoured ones once ive used this up.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

ebony brush by Brian
1956 Diplomat/Filomatic Titanio (NOS...Thanks Good Doctor)
RL Safari SS
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
RL 'Safari' EdT (vintage juice)

Had a Diplomat in the rotation for years. Also use a President and Aristocrat.....all three shave about the same (when you get a good one). One of my favorite fixed head designs.

This old blade almost felt too sharp at first in this razor, but settled right in by the third pass. Heh, I wanted to try another one of these things, after the good luck with the first one. Very nice.

Man, I have a smoother than usual face today. Strange in a good way.

Bulldog Face Wash
TOBS Eton College Shaving Cream
Kent Infinity Silvertex
Gillette Rocket HD - Bic Chrome [1]
Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse & Alum Wash
4711 Original Eau De Cologne

Face Lathered
Two Pass - WTG & ATG

First go with the Gillette Rocket HD, which I found very nice indeed with the extra weight and most certainly putting me in mind of the heftier modern razors like the Merkur 34C HD.

First go with a Bic Chrome, which ran perfectly well but if I had to criticise, perhaps not as smooth as I expected.

In all, a great, smooth shave.
