Christmas Day
Thursday 25th December 2014
Prep: Shower
Razor: Cobra Classic
Blade: Feather Professional
Brush: Semogue 830 Boar
Cream: Body Shop Maca Root
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)
EDP: Tom Ford Black Orchid

My seventh shave with the Cobra and just as I thought I had mastered it...2 weepers caused no doubt by too much pressure. I will shave once more with this razor and then get it parcelled up and sent back to Rob.

The closeness of this shave is without parallel.

Have a great Christmas day one and all.

Regards
Dick.

Prep: Hot shower, face wash dove soap.
Soap: Razorock XXX
Brush: Grooming Co Synthetic.
Razor: Razorock Jaws open comb.
Blade: Crystal Stainless Steel #1
Post: M&S Woodspice AS balm.
EDT: Matchplay.

I opened one festively wrapped gift this morning containing a Razorock Open comb and a tub of Razorock XXX and a Grooming Co synthetic.

I was a little nervous of the pen comb because what I have read is that they are quite aggressive. However my experience was one of one superbly smooth and close shave very much BBS, the razor itself had a long and quite heavy handle seams to be very well constructed and a joy to use, the weight of the razor does all the work so there is no need to use any pressure at all. The Razorock soap was slick but thin, I am putting this down to another first for me, that is my first synthetic brush a Grooming Co black and white swirl handle which is actually mocca colour.

I am going to need more practice with the synthetic but, from my first experience with this brush it felt so soft on my skin and produced enough albeit thin lather to give me a careful 3 pass shave.
