Prep: Dove face scrub
Cream: Trumpers Spanish Leather
Brush: Edwin Jagger Chatsowrth Ebony synthetic bristle
Razor: Edwin Jagger Chatsworth Barley chrome
Blade: Supermax platinum
Post: Crabtree & Evelyn Sienna

This is the first time I've used Dove face scrub. There is not really much 'scrub' but the texture is very smooth, creamy, and pleasant. In fact, this might become a favourite. I bought the Dove face wash this morning, and I hope it has 'wash'.

A nice smooth shave despite a reluctance to use a Supermax blade in the EJ razor.

Good morning friends! :)

Have a nice week,

So... had some excellent holiday shaves with: Progress, Rapira, Proraso pre and shaving cream (both menthol), Simpson's Colonel X2L. Amazing quality and consistency. Apart from using some of my favourite gear, it's probably down to using the same stuff day after day.

Anyway, back home now and time for a dabble with something different:

Warm shower
Proraso Pre, menthol
New Forest 1901, Nanny's Cedarwood & Vetiver (hard soap)
Weber Polished, Personna Lab Blue (1)
Cold splash
Clinique post-shave healer

Lovely close shave and very comfortable. It was nice to indulge in a bit of serious face lathering after using shaving cream for a few weeks

Sunday Best SOTD

Soap: Cella
Brush: A very special that I made for myself. Banded Azurite stone base, and a top section made from planished copper and gold plated. 26mm extra dense silvertip. (Another like this is for sale on my web site).
Razor: Feather AS + Feather blade
After: Dior Eau Sauvage

And continuing the autumn theme, a bunch of hawthorn berries from the garden.
Thought for the day: As I write this I would have just arrived in Nairobi if things had all gone to plan.

I'm really going to fall out of favour here. A few weeks ago I had a "do or die" scenario and had to have a very quick shave. So I bought some King of Shaves Black Pepper shaving gel and cracked out the old Mach 3. The shave, whilst not as close as I am used to, was more than acceptable and I've pretty much stuck with that since.

KoS Black Pepper Gel
Proraso, Sol Filo del Rasoio asb

And that folks is about it.
