That's right DB, Carl can get plenty of mileage from nice pens and stationary in daily life! He's writing stuff out all the time I bet. Doesn't even know what he's missing by not using classy pens and pencils and such. Sheesh.
There are a lot of studies made that has shown that using a pen and paper keeps your brain active, improves hand-eye-coordination and is overall a great benefit to your cognitive skills.
It's increasingly important to keep those areas active/healthy as you get up there in the years - not saying write the next great novel but simple things like a short daily journal, SOTD thoughts, etc can be good projects to justify having some pens around AND be beneficial to you
