Razor blade misnomer

I'm exactly the other way round. When I first got into DE shaving but before I became interested in vintage razors I used to use Trigs as my daily blade. The black carbon blades just feel blunt to me
 
Certainly the black treet I once used looked smart but was a terrible shave. Interestingly I had a good shave with a Derby yesterday as it was all I could lay my hands on whilst scrabbling around in the morning!
