RAF 1 Police 0

Very amusing! I've not had any particular negative experiences with the Old Bill, but, as someone who has a great respect for our Armed Forces with a particular fondness for the RAF, that one hits the spot.

I've never been in any sort of trouble but I must admit to having a slightly negative view of the Police, long story about a PCSO her Sargent and their negative response to a situation. Problem being I have a friend who's CID and anther very good friend who trains the Police which makes for a good conversation. LOL !!!

I have a totally different view with the armed forces who put their lives on the line. My father completed his National Service with the RAF and he had a great time. We have a family member too who's Ex RAF too and it did him no harm.

It's great, unfortunately its not true but funny anyway.

Here's another, but this one is a bit more well known, but not true sadly.

Believe it or not...this is the transcript of an actual radio conversation between a US naval ship and Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October 1995. The Radio conversation was released by the Chief of Naval Operations on Oct. 10, 1995.
US Ship: Please divert your course 0.5 degrees to the south to avoid a collision.

CND reply: Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.

US Ship: This is the Captain of a US Navy Ship. I say again, divert your course.

CND reply: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course!

US Ship: THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS CORAL SEA*, WE ARE A LARGE WARSHIP OF THE US NAVY. DIVERT YOUR COURSE NOW!!

CND reply: This is a lighthouse. Your call.
