Hi guys I'd like to share my first born with you.
These are the first two fully functional brushes I've done, made for a friend, (a surprise birthday pressie)

Made from purpleheart with a silvertip knot,
nothing to rival the quality of our resident brush makers i know, but the sense of achievement was great
Hope you like
Gary

Well done Jafford

They look really nice in my opinion, 'proper' if you know what I mean.

Particularly like the brush on the right, lovely.

Cheers

I am not keen on wooden handled brushes but they do look very nice, a lovely deep colour and nice grain showing. If these are your first ones then that is very impressive work.

Out of curiosity what are the knot/loft sizes to get a scale on the size of them?

Nicely done. Be advised that purpleheart will turn brown over time - more quickly when heated (it's primarily an oxidation reaction). These handles look as if they do not have a waterproof finish, so the wood will be exposed to oxygen from the air, and will repeatedly (once a day?) be heated through immersion in hot water - they probably won't be purple for long.

Cheers
