Prep pre/post shave cream

I have been putting together an order with Maguire's barbershop and have come across a jar of "prep pre/post shave cream". Does anybody have any opinion on this product? My current prep is to wash with soap then apply a hot towel for a couple of minutes.

Yep.

Proraso pre/post is a gem of a product.

I have used Trumpers skin food as a pre-shave too - expensive but nice.

I will try my Trumpers as a pre-shave. Never thought of it before

have been using MR glycerine soap as pre shave, as coming to an end,decided to try
bar of Pear`s soap[ cheap around 80p ],followed by Proraso green. Had my doubts
but found the soap softened up the beard quite well,at a reasonable cost.
My second shave using a Polsilver blade, am convinced to have one more
shave to make it 4. Got 6 with the First !!!.
