We have traveled fairly extensively in the US but never Florida till last year when we stayed at SIL at siesta key, we've just booked to go again this year, back to SIL for nine days, then down to key west for six days, really looking forward to the heat.
Ben, please. At quarter of a century old, I've still got many years in the tank (I hope). After an accident at work roughly 1.5 years ago I'm very much of the impression 'you only get one time around' and to make the most of it!Benz3ne thanks for taking the time to give such a great post, you obviously live a full life (good man).
Thanks to everyone else who has taken the time to post! I thought we would have a very diverse feedback on this.
In the late Fifties a friend of my had a Studebaker that required a lot of brake pumping to bring it to a stop. Once he handed the keys to an unassuming garage parking attendant and watched the poor guy floor it up the ramp and seconds later heard the Stud crash into a wall at the first curve - followed the sounds of much cursing and angry threats. This was my friend Irish Tommy's idea of good humor. Another time the car's steering wheel came off in his hands while he was demonstrating his prowess at parallel parking. While the rest of us were happy tooling around in our 51 Merc's and Fords Tommy seemed to be perfectly content with his uncool Studebaker. As an aside, I learned to drive in a Nash Rambler - another example of fine American automotive ingenuity.I'm a Studebakerist and Southeast Asiaphile. Owner of a 62 Hawk since 1974, lived, worked and well traveled in Cambodia and Vietnam.

You are a very, very interesting man.Obviously we all have to shave and found our way here, this becomes an interest in itself.
But I'm sure we have a plethora of interests being as we are brought together by this common denominator only.
So, if I wasn't shaving I would most likely be found working our small holding looking after the stock, hedging, growing our food etc.
I am a self confessed francophile, we spend rather a lot of time over there.
I collect and use late seventies upwards spring powered air rifles, majoring in the eighties.
Sea fish both shore and boat when I can spare the time.
Reading (only in the winter, we have no TV)
Other travel, and occasionally metal detecting, walking.
Thanks for looking.
Completely, totally envious of your lifestyle! And a Border terrier to boot. Wow!I tend to jump in with both feet with any new interest and spend a lot of time just involved it whatever it is. For instance when I used to have a S11 Land Rover 1961 I would spent all the time I could working on the Land Rover, off roading and just being totaly immersed in it, then I got back in to motor bikes, then a classic MG but always the same, totaly immersed in what I was doing.
I can only spend so much time shaving but still enjoy reading about other peoples experances on the fourm.
I can no longer drive due to health issues but a lot of my time is spent walking my Border terrier Taz along the coastline of Cornwall (local to me) and then the rest of the time recovering from the walk! What my next interest will be I don't know, it just happens and I get all obsessional about it! Strange but true! I have always loved music and enjoy all types but David Bowie is my all time favourite but enough about me, what about you?
Excellent choices. Also, always liked Savannah better than Charleston. No kids this year so big pine key, anna marie island and long drive onto savannah. 3 weeks september. Cant wait
