Old shaving cream horror!

I have a tub of TOBS cream that I have not used for a while, and had worked its way to the bottom of my bathroom cabinet. I decided to give it a go today and to my horror found that it had solidified! It's now more of a soft soap than a cream.

I can't use it to face- or bowl-lather as it just sits there in a congealed lump.

Any tips for re-vitalising an old tub of cream?

Try putting a teaspoon of water in it and then stir. Leave it overnight and see if it's any better in the morning.

Just use a wetter brush and load it more as you would a soap. It should work the same.

I'm still using up some old Coates creams that have dehydrated. I just dig out my portion and smear it around a bowl. Even though it is thick it still delivers great lather although it's easier with brushes with good backbone.

Just load the brush as you would when using a soap.
