Do you put a little oil on washed and cleaned razors’ threads before you put them away?
Very occasionally, especially if it’s a Zamak razor. Clippercide.Do you put a little oil on washed and cleaned razors’ threads before you put them away?
I know, from cycling, how badly steel and aluminium can react without lubrication. On razors where either handle or the head is aluminium, I usually put a tiny amount of silicone grease on the threads. That's mainly to make threading them on easier and hopefully, to mitigate wear. I don't think any lubrication is required for stainless, brass etc. and I avoid any oils.
I feel your pain - i know from Japanese motorcycle cylinder head retaining bolts, how badly steel and aluminium can react without lubrication ...I know, from cycling, how badly steel and aluminium can react without lubrication.
TrueActually, there is very low force involved in wet shaving.
If not, the problem is not lubrification.
If cleaned, no problem. IMHE.Was thinking more about metals "binding"
