On a bit of a whim, I have bought a bottle of Monsieur Houbigant after shave.
Houbigant was one of the oldest perfume houses in Paris dating back to 1775 and was favoured by Marie- Antoinette and later by Napoleon and the Empress Josephine.
Sadly the house has fallen by the wayside and virtually all of their fragrances have been discontinued.
Which brings me to my purchase. I can find very little about 'Monsieur Houbigant' except that it was launched around 1968/9.
Although Basenotes lists 66 fragrances under Houbigant, 'Monsieur Houbigant' is not there.
I am now very curious for it to arrive and find out what it smells like.
Has anyone on here ever come across it before?
