OMG , just had first shave with the Edwin Jagger 89 and im in agony. I made sure i didnt rush , didnt put any pressure on at all , i preshaved with oil, put the EJ shaving cream that came with it on and this happened!!! I used a derby blade that came with the razor. Do you think its the razor at fault or blade? Or anything else?

I'm thinking poor old Matt may have expired. Anyone care to do a 'wellness call' and see what's up? Man, his pics did make me smile....

It isn't the Derby. you can try another Brand, but I find that EJ difficult to save with. I couldn't recommend it as a beginner razor. I'd try a Gillette green or a Personna red but I don't think you'll see a difference. Good luck.
May be some MWF too.
