Look what else I found
Following from my thread in the Straight Razor room and on a more positive note.
After a good session in the ultra sonic cleaner it turns out its gold plated, methinks, it looked like dirty brass at first.
I would love to know the date.

Btw, advice on a cheap supply of blades for the Schick would be great.

Found the razors data

Dates in Production: 1933-1945

Type: Injector

Description: Gold plated head with Bakelite handle

Notes of Interest: These were made with an amber coloured Bakelite handle. One easy way to identify these is that they had no seam on the handle like later plastic types.

There were a couple of spring options. Some you could pivot left to lower the safety bar for cleaning. Others were blocked on both sides of the spring.
