Paddle strop from Peter, looks good and seems to be a good size to stop me doing massive strokes and pushing down on the razor. Now to strop razor and go for second shave.

edit. that black "x" on bottom of strop is a paste mark as recommended by Peter.
it is now rubbed in with palm

A Gillette Black Beauty courtesy of @Hax. Some minor pitting to the doors and a bit of colour-loss on the handle but everything turns so sweetly! Have given her a bath of hot water and toothpaste and a slight re-oiling with some mineral oil and she's away to go. Looking forward to seeing how she shaves.

Yes but the oil is different to the spray. You need that in your life as well.
