Is Dettol ok for disinfecting razors?

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and to cut throat razor shaving, i bought a second hand razor from e-bay, is dettol good enough to disinfect the razor? if not what shall i use? or if dettol is good how long shall i leave the razor in it?

Like the man says toothpaste. A soak with these is what I was also advised.

I would never soak a straight in anything, but that's me, if you're talking about a DE, then yes, you can soak it in antibacterial liquid, though not sure about dettol, as I've never tried it.
A straight just needs a good wipe down with antibacterial wipes (or alcohol wipes).

It will gather more germs in your own home, than it has on it right now.
