If yer gonna 'it, just 'it 'im........

I love that clip its from the film Never Back Down but none the less a classic.

That said capoeira has some nice moves which can be effective. I saw a semi-pro kick boxer pull off one of these in a freestyle sparring competition, he was grandstanding but impressive skills none the less.

My youngest used to do Capoeria.

He actually played with these two fellas at his Batizada (baptism):

Boom! And it's goodnight, princess! Very funny clip.

As a striking art, I think there's nowt more effective or efficient than Western Boxing. Capoeira is highly skilled and beautiful to watch. Wouldn't want to fight using it though...

Yes western boxing is a great art but I'd say that Mauy Thai is probably the most effective striking "art" as it also includes kicks, knees, elbows and other shit that you just can't do under Queensbury rules. Also it tends not to have as much of the traditional faff that comes with martial arts, its more martial than art. A combat system I'd like to have a go at though is Krav Maga its designed to be just brutally effective not pretty.

Yes, that's a fair point about Muay Thai. It certainly expands the range of effective techniques, and the ability to use knees and elbows at close range is devastating.

Krav Maga is very interesting, designed purely as a hand-to-hand combat system, with no pretence of being an 'art' or combat sport. I've no experience of it myself, but would also love to give it a go.

well sorry for not know sod all about boxing and all that but I saw the vid and all it did was remind me of
