How many shaves out of a feather blade?

no rust in my case (or it shouldn't be with a stainless blade!) but there's something that looks a bit like it. Probably just dirt.

No... it's "stain less" not "stain free" - it'll be rust, but a lot less than you would see with a carbon blade in the same razor with equivalent treatment...

Not the same... fewer if you can count them, less if not.

Give me any piece of stainless steel you like and I will rust it for you within a week, no special tools required, no special chemicals required.

I did count them. 2 houses, one house. But I was just being obtuse, in a friendly way obviously. It's an interesting point you made because most people I've asked thought it meant stain-free. I learnt that from you when I complained about some old Wilkinson blades being rusted.

I get three haves max out of Feathers. 3 to 5 out of most other blades.

I have the joy of having sensitive baby skin and tough stubble. I find that the 1st & 2nd shaves are fine but the 3rd shave drags, pulls, and leaves me with nicks and razor burn. But considering the price, I don't mind changing my blade every other day.
