I dare not even look in the razor drawer, although I suspect that the total is less than it once was, and less than a lot of you :)

You two tell some whoppers, I'm guessing there may be one or two more than that!

Me, I've only got a couple .....................Just like me.....:icon_razz:

Too many perhaps or maybe not enough!

Going from memory:

Wilkinson Sword (black plastic one)
EJ89
39C Slant
Gillette Red Tip

Fatboy
US Aristo
#66 Aristo
#16 Aristo

A few Techs
A Gillette OC not sure which one)
4 x Rolls razors
a shavette (rubbish)
A Valet Autostrop SE
3 x 1912 Ever Ready SE
A Kropp straight in need of a good hone / home!

Still awaiting a Rocket from ebay I won about 4 weeks ago or more which the seller "cant find" (didnt go for enough) which I doubt will ever be found until I am refunded.

I think that is all.

Dovo straight
Feather Artist Club SS
Merkur Progress
Muhle R41
Ever-Ready 1912
Un-named/branded Slant paired with one of my handles
CJB Kamisori

To be added very shortly are a Fasan Slant and a Stahly (fingers crossed) and I recently got SWMBO a Gillette Blue Star and she loves it (having to hide the MDC though!!!)

Each give a totally different shave and I find all of them give a great shave

Hiya,

Even though I don't consider myself a collector, a bunch of razors have been acquired over the years. Crazy as it may seem (certainly does to me), there's over 20 assorted ones like 10-12 straights, various SE types and also different type injectors, none of which I use except for one injector razor. Yeah, why I have all those in the arsenal.....no idea.

Double edge razors......I can't say how many I might have. More than the ones that never get wet.......

Stop being coy, Mart. We know all about those drawers full of fishing sinkers.

In order of acqusition:

EJ de89 Barley.
Gillette Slim Adjustable, M3, replated.
Merkur 933c travel razor.
Weber DLC with Bulldog handle.
Ever Ready 1912 SE.

All good shavers. Until I got the 1912 I thought the Weber was the only razor I would ever need. Lesson learnt (unless the lesson is never buy another razor)

At the moment there are no razors I'm interested in buying or trying. I guess that if the above is all I've bought in 2 and a bit years of DE shaving, I've not got too bad a case of any acquisition obsessions.

Yet.

Yeah, that story caught your eye did it? Man, those were the good old days, when it came to quality Gillette fishing crap. They made the best weights by far when used in a double hook Lake Michigan perch rig.

I remember back in the 60s there being a tray of various used DE razors by the bait shop door to take as you needed em on the house. Sometimes my uncle would leave a few that he used maybe 15 times each. They were almost like disposables and people would buy new ones every month or so. It was the Golden Age of perch fishing sinkers.

That previous post was because I didn't wanna scare the new guys with a large number. Hook needs a tad more setting.......
