Honing

Mea Culpa! The space between toe of blade and wedge will be too wide for my OCD to cope with so no honing yet of this blade, need to start looking for a slightly longer blade maybe Sheffield to match scales made of London Plane and wedge Black Oak from somewhere in England

Needed a linen strop to test so made one using a towel (folded 5X)

Honing an old Heljestrand MK31 with very thin and flimsy ivory scales, need to watch out each time I close the blade to make sure heel is not hitting scales, steel also feels different on this one, more feedback than usual. Afraid scales would crack I messed up by oiling pivot point making it too loose and now I am afraid scales will crack if I try tightening with hammer
