Hello from Ipswich

Welcome to TSR ecoshaver - enjoy the ride - it can be a bit of a rollercoaster - especially when you start craving different types of razors - the old Gillettes are all a little different and so much better to look at than your old Bics - and have you seen the old Ever Ready single edge razors yets? They're ornamentally lovely and still provide a great shave.

Then, there' are the different brushes and, as you've already said, the soaps... You're not likely to "save" money - but hopefully you'll enjoy the experience and not begrudge the spending :)
 
Thanks for the warm welcome. After another happy day of shaving I'm now preparing to "stimulate the economy". Though the one razor one brush one soap plan is already coming under pressure. I'm presently spending 2017's shaving budget. It could be in the 2020's by the end of the day! :)
 
Thanks again all. During the time of my welcoming, I've:

Gone up 3 notches on the adjuster on my Gillette Slim,
Decided that I need sharper/better blades,
Been introduced to the delights of horse ;-)
Bought 3 different soaps,
Become aware of existance of a lather "scuttle" and
Spent my previous shaving budget as far ahead as the year 2020!

Life moves pretty fast in the world of DE shaving, :-D
