Hello forum members!

I guess I'm part of this revival in traditional wet shaving... when I was a young lad (a few decades ago), I inherited my grandfather's DE razor after he died of a heart attack. I doubt I'd even started shaving at the time, but I kept that Gillette razor in it's bakelite box and over the years I'd tried it out [literally] a couple of times and just didn't get on with it.

Fast forward to 2016 and I'm taking part in Movember to raise funds for men's health issues and I brought out the old razor and decided to do a bit of research first. It's a 1940's Gillette Tech Thin Handle, now fitted with Wilkinson Sword blades and after re-learning how to shave properly, I have to say I love it.

Not only is it quite special to use Pop's razor, now 60-70 years old, but after being taken in by all the modern marketing and using the Gillette Fusion, I'm pretty sure I won't be going back!

So, hello to the forum and I look forward to reading many of the posts on here.

Best wishes,
David.
