I'm into my third week shaving with a de razor. Although I started out with one (many moons ago), I've since been using a mixture of disposable and cartridge razors & electric shavers. Googling ways of improving my shave led me back to the safety razor and I picked up a Merkur HD, MWF, Omega 49 pro and Connaught popular blade sample pack. I've seen a dramatic increase in the quality of my shaves but also the time I've spent shaving. Previously I've tried to spend as little time as possible shaving, but I'm actually really enjoying it at the moment. I'm trying to resist the temptation to buy everything in sight, but after a few weeks I may get an adjustable razor - but I'll see how things go. In the meantime, I'm thoroughly enjoying reading the posts here.

Hi and welcome.
That's what I noticed the most too. The time and enjoyment spent shaving.
I used to simply wipe a hac3 round my face in the shower. I never even knew what I looked like.
Although....
