Gillette toggle for only £2000 LOL

Some folk sure have a distorted opinion on what their stuff is worth. This 'toggle' razor is on sale at £2000, plating loss, numbers need painted, bit beat up looking.

Whereas this 'toggle' looks pretty much mint with a lovely case, and he's looking just over £500 for it...

You'd think a seller would do a bit of research 1st before setting a price, wouldn't you?

Nice looking razor but I'm not a collector anymore and not sure I would ever pay more than what the average SS razors are going for now as that is already expensive for me.

I'd love to get my hands on a toggle, but not at these prices. If I find one in the wild, I'll grab it, otherwise it will remain a dream.

Those who have disassembled one won't do it again. It's a "Fatboy" with a ridiculous handle. Gillette tested these in one city in the U.S. back in the 50's and it went over like a pregnant pole vaulter. It's a great item for a collector, but not practical to shave with and certainly not worth what many want for one.

I have similar thoughts on the bottom dials , for me I like the regular fatboy over all the others.

Subscribed! I like it, these were top of the food chain in the days that TTO's ruled the roost. I wouldn't part with two large ones though.

I am surprised the mod didn't disinfected the thread yet, I once put a link here to a Toggle on the bay and it was hosed down pronto. I've set my watching on the cheaper one to see if there are buyers at this range. The other one is just a wishful asking price.

I've seen them go for more than that but not in that condition. It's a lot of money to splurge on, especially if its then going to be refurbed.

I honestly thought the market had come down for those as I had seen a user grade go for under $400.
