First shave with SE tonight...

Received very kindly from another member a PIF ever ready 1912. Even threw in some blades. Well must say with two days growth it made a fantastic noise. Like a grating,old fashioned sound!? The shave? Well, took it easy and lathered well. First pass wtg was pretty aggressive, second pass atg cleaned up my face nicely. Overall a pleasing result with lots of bbs. For sure will be on my rotation with my de's

Well obviously this is the weird side of the force?! Just a quick question, how many shaves would I expect to get out of a SE blade? I like them sharp and would rather change sooner than later - on my De I change my polsilver every 3 or 4 shaves...

Consider 5 the same as 3 from a DE. You can go more, but if you ditch a DE at 3, you'll be looking to ditch the SE at 5.
